TED Talking

1. Most of the TED talks are anecdotal. They involve a lot of stories, whether about the speakers life or the lives of others they know.
2. They are usually abstract concepts. They don't each you the fundamental theories of calculus, they teach you about the importances of introversion. It's less quantifiable and more conversational.
3. Despite being about abstract ideas, they all seem very academic. They interject statistics and studies that back up their assertions. It's not just random people rambling about ideas in their head; it's still well thought out and structured.
