Spiraling Out of Control
Scientific dictatorships, from what I've read, would be absolutely terrifying. The idea of giving up all will to do anything is preposterous, but yet totally plausible. Laziness is like a disease, and it can spread easily just about anywhere. For example, America in the 1920's was filled with people who only wanted to party, rather than play a beneficial role in society. George Orwell's view of total control is slightly possible, but the idea of science being king is totally possible, especially in the world we live in today. Since reading the first couple of chapters in Brave New World, i more closely examine the actions in society. I hope science never becomes more prominent than religion, because if that ever happens, the creepy dystopia of Brave New World will come much closer to being a reality.
