I think the rise in secularism has to do with a change in world
view. People only want to think about how what they do affects them now, not how
it might affect them later. They don’t really
want to take the time to go to church, or read the bible because these things
don’t immediately change anything. Instead of taking the time to build a loving
relationship with God, more people want instant gratification and imminently beneficial
results.
