The Media

A modern example of an organization trying to control us is the mainstream media. The mainstream media is slap full of people trying to twist the truth and facts, and sometimes even straight up lie, to get the reaction they want from the less knowledgeable public. This is the very reason why they have been called fake news. They are America's worst sickness in my opinion because they force many Americans to believe things that are not well founded and twisted to fit better in their point of view. I firmly believe that less popular news outlets are much more trustworthy and will hopefully overtake the mainstream news networks.
