A Walk

I woke up to the sound of my stomach growling. I was hungry, so I made myself some toast and eggs. I don’t usually eat eggs for breakfast because I don’t like how they taste, but I was tired and didn’t want to make anything else. When the eggs were done I poured myself a cup of coffee. It was black, like always. I ate my breakfast and drank my coffee. The eggs were burnt slightly on the bottom. The coffee beans I used were a new brand because the store was out of the ones I normally used, so the coffee was more bitter then usual.  After breakfast I showered, got dressed, and brushed my teeth. It was nice out, so I thought about going for a walk. I normally like walking in the evening because it’s cooler then, but it was still early so the sun hadn’t gotten to warm things yet. I figured it would be like my evening walks then, only with the sun rising instead of setting. I walked outside. The air was crisp and cool and felt nice on my skin. I could hear some cars driving by, people chatting or complaining or humming as they walked to work or school. The street lights glistened of the dew still sticking to the grass and the metal of the cars. The sky was clear and I could still see some faint stars in the sky as I walked. I liked the stars. There was a girl that used to live next door that liked the stars too. I don’t remember her name, but remember she lived next door for a long time because she had a dog that always barked at night. Then he stopped. I never bothered to ask why. I walked for a bit more. I decided to go back because my feet were starting to hurt and I was getting tired. I walked home and went inside.
