Like this if you are secular

In recent years there has been a large increase in social acceptance of all kinds; religious acceptance is just one of them. My impression of of societal standards now is that anyone can do anything as long as they do not hurt or offend anyone else. You can be gay, transginger, goth, atheist, etc as long as you keep it to yourself. Due to this large scale acceptance, people have begun to do whatever they want instead of what is best. I believe that the religion has declined over the years, not just church attendance. The term fake it till you make it in reality turns you into something that you were not before. If you act a way for long enough you will become it. In the past many people were told to be Christians so much that they inevitably were. They believed what they were told. Most people have a desire to do what is right; if they are told being gay is horribly wrong they will be less likely to be, or at least act, gay. In America it is not a crime to be gay, and anyone can walk to the mall and see a number of obviously gay people or even gay acts. In a country such as Syria, if you are gay you will be killed. It is simply not a choice for them. This is the same situation as Christianity in contrast between when the church ruled the nation and now.
