Dear Diary (a la Camus)

I drove home from class in the rain two Tuesdays ago. It was about 9:30 in the evening. I had checked the weather application on my phone more than thrice, and it said it wouldn't rain. But it did. I don't normally trust the weather application.

As I drove, I noticed a car on the side of the road about 200 feet ahead of me. Its lights were flashing. I hate flashing lights, so I squinted my eyes a little. But I was curious to know why the car was on the side of the road, so I continued looking. When I came to the stop light, I saw there was a person outside of the car waving his hands and shouting something. I couldn't hear hime because my windows were up and it was raining. He was facing me, so I looked around me to see if anyone else was behind me. There weren't any other cars on the road around me. He kept waving and shouting. I decided to stop looking at him because I was tired and wanted to go home. I didn't want him to ask me for help.

When I got home, I put the car in park and took the keys out of the ignition. I opened the car door, but it was rainy and cold, so I closed it again and stayed inside the car. I closed my eyes so I could listen to the rain. It sounded nice on the car roof, so I decided to stay for a while. I put my hand on the cool window beside me...

My phone rang, so I looked at it. It was my sister. I didn't answer because I was trying to listen to the rain and didn't want to talk. The ringing was high and annoying, and I wanted it to stop, so I turned my phone off. After the phone stopped ringing I think I fell asleep because I only remember waking up the next morning to my stomach growling.
